I've of course been silent here because Masheka and I are getting married in a few days myself, so I was SOOOOO excited to hear about Lambda Legal's successful case in Iowa. The Supreme Court in Iowa has ruled that a same-sex marriage ban is unconstitutional.

Aside from that, have I mentioned I have FOOD POISONING? (my advice: stay AWAY from salad bars). But nothing's going to stop me from having some of the delicious wedding cake my mom is making.

Correction: It wasn't the Supreme Court--and I think it's been overruled somehow now. Sigh.

Partly inspired by the disgusting facts about the weirdly popular diet drug Alli, but partly by a personal experience. A few years ago I had a horrible case of pneumonia that left me bed-ridden and barely able to breathe for three miserable weeks. When I returned to the world of the living, sickly and weak, I got all these compliments for losing weight (“you look so HEALTHY!” "what diet are you on?") when I had never been MORE unhealthy in my life. Skinny does NOT equal healthy.

Yeah, yeah, I'm still drawing...

Cut me some slack folks, it's a crazy summer--my younger brother is getting married today (I'm sure I'm going to bawl my eyes out!) and Masheka and I are getting hitched in a few short weeks. CRAZY CRAZY. Anyway, I'm still drawing every week, just been to busy to post them here. I have tons more AAEC pix too, but those are also a lower priority than tying the knot and stuff.

I am so, SOOOOO glad I don't work at the Wall Street Journal anymore. Otherwise I'd be waking up to the news that my boss is Rupert Murdoch. YECCH. It's a sad, sad day for independent journalism.
